The poster of the XIV International Festival Murcia Three Cultures is signed by Esteban Linares, who has created a simple composition, clean and very bright colors, which is based on the original idea of ​​Jorge End, author of the first poster of the festival, to represent palm, olive and cypress as symbols of the three cultures.
In his presentation, Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, highlighted the beauty of the work done by Linares, who "has given us the best presentation possible for a festival that, in a few years, it has become a place among cultural events of this nature. "
Besides, remarked Camera-this new edition maintains the spirit in which it was created to "promote respect among different peoples through art, promoting solidarity and tolerance among different cultures."
For this work, Linares, which deals mainly with figurative painting, has opted for managing the use of thick lines to shape and character to the main figures, underlining the composition with a way to "access a common place and tries to symbolize the convergence of cultures that enriches everyone ", notes the artist.

Esteban Linares is defined as "a dreamer of pictures".
Born in Murcia in 1955, after passing through the School of Fine Arts in Valencia returns to Murcia incorporated, alongside artists of his generation, to artistic activity in the city.
The municipal hall of St. Elizabeth-now defunct-collects his first solo exhibition in 1979.
Later, sample their creations in the gallery Chys of Murcia, where he continues exposing regularly.
He has also participated in the first call for Contraparada (1980) and three editions of ARCO, in addition to numerous painters collectively with Murcia in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Moscow, London, etc..
Among his latest samples include the titled The Painter's Palette, a solo exhibition of 2010 in which Ramón Gaya honored in the museum, on the centenary of his birth.
Currently, Esteban Linares, besides dedicating to painting, drawing serves as professor in the IES Floridablanca.
Two intense weeks
During the month of May and during two intense weeks, from 13 to 25, the International Festival Murcia Three Cultures become more prominent public spaces of the city as the University Senate, Plaza de Julián Romea, City Museum , Hydraulic Museum terrace Mills River, Europe Square, Plaza Santa Catalina, Plaza de la Cruz, Plaza Belluga, Church of San Juan, Patio del Monasterio de Santa Clara la Real, Plaza de las Flores, Plaza Apostles Doors Castile and Basabe-Street in the agora which brings together figures from different artistic disciplines worldwide.

The international focus that characterizes the festival will be reinforced by the presence of artists from the five continents, among others, Afghanistan, Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Cuba, USA, France (the guest) , India, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Senegal, Syria, Somalia and Tajikistan.

France has been chosen as the guest of this fourteenth edition, recognizing that this is one of the driving forces behind the racial and cultural tolerance, as well as many international associations based in favor of human rights.
This appreciation of diversity is reflected in its territory, a place where African minorities, Jewish and Eastern Europe, making up a population of nearly 4 million, and has presence of major religious denominations: Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, Jewish, Buddhist and orthodox.

From various countries, the three singers are settled in France for years and his songs reflect the blend of rhythms characteristic Gallic country.
