The Socialist Group is surprised with a letter to the president of the Municipal Council of La Paz gives her neighbors a public square (11/02/2013)

The socialist mayor today Mar Rosa has shown his stupor to find that supposedly public space, such as the Horticultural Square, located in the district of La Paz, the property has been transferred to the owners of the blocks, as shown in the letter sent to them by the President of the Municipal Board, Rafael Gomez last December.

In the letter he explains Rosa-President of the Municipal Board informs the neighbors that the public space of the square of the Horticultural became property of the City after having spent more than € 100,000 in settlement.

Such public investment was made after complaints from neighbors about the continued presence of drug addicts and homeless in the pedestrian entrances to underground parking of the plaza.

Having carried out this public spending, neighbors are informed that the square becomes property "exclusively giving building owners and their use and enjoyment by delivering a key to every responsible step."

"As a result and get the same square as the maintenance of private property it corresponds to the homeowners, though, and in view of the neighbors, lighting remains in charge of the city budget."

This situation, according Mar Rosa, is another example of mismanagement of PP Chamber foremost public.

What becomes private property a public square?

And if finally is private, why the City invests public money on fixing up regardless of other needs of the neighborhood?

Unanswered questions that still expects Socialist councilor responsible for clarification on Heritage, Cosme Ruiz, who inquired about the true ownership of said town, getting a response that did not know.

"It is the less starteling that after 18 years in office, the PP do not know if this is public or private" ends.
