The Councillor for Infrastructure and Urban Quality, Ana Martinez Vidal, this morning held a meeting with officials of the hotel establishments of the squares of Santa Catalina and Flowers, as it has done in recent months.
In the meeting held this morning, the mayor have been informed of the various inspections conducted during the month of January (400) and the sanctions imposed on the premises that exceeded the space allowed for the terraces.
Thus, they pointed out that those who have breached the rules can not install bars on Spring Festival.
Vidal Martinez also has explained that the terraces of both places are to delineate separating elements that will be fixed (anchored to the pavement) although detachable and commensurate with the surroundings.
These spacers are arranged in such a way as to create two routes in the Plaza de las Flores three meters wide to ensure the passage of pedestrians and emergency vehicles.
Also be vacated hallways that give access to the various buildings in the area.
The intention with this rearrangement of occupied spaces is to ensure routes for pedestrians and emergency vehicles and compatible uses.
