Murcia live their intensity carnivals each year and, as usual, the city of Murcia wants to show support for these activities so popular, and bringing together many groups of neighborhoods and districts to help encourage people and keep alive this tradition.

The Department of Culture, directed by Rafael Gomez, continues to drive these cultural manifestations that represent conventional wisdom and are expressions of the concerns of our neighbors.

Carnivals of Murcia and transcend our area, like Cabezo de Torres, recognized throughout the region and has a century-old tradition, since it dates back to the late nineteenth century.

And that dot our parishes as Beniaján (on February 8 will have a concentration of extras and a mask contest. Day 9 will have a parade through the streets and the 10th is the feast of the great carnival, in which involving children and large).

Neighborhood Progress will also have their parade around the neighborhood on February 9, with the participation of more than 500 people in its 13 troupes.

The Esparragal also have its carnival.

It will be on February 10 in the afternoon with a total of six troupes.

On February 24, the parade of big and small will be held at Shore Azarbe.

In Torreagüera school parades will take place through the streets on 8 and 15 February; something similar in the hamlet of Monteagudo, whose parades will be on the streets of the district on Friday and Tuesday August 12.

The neighborhoods of Murcia also take to the street parades and bands and celebrate the festival with great detail.

Most significant are the Carmen district.

The Carmelite business association with the Municipal District, held a costume contest carnival in individual modalities, groups, associations and schools.

Also, since 1997, has organized a parade of schools district-students-about 3,000, to which is attached a poster contest carnival.

The choice is set out in the shops in the area to promote this event.

Especially striking is the Carnival of Vistabella, La Paz and fame, which has its big day on Saturday 9 with parade through the district.

Social groups, schools, associations, are involved in this event which is becoming one of the most symbolic of our town.

This year is the ninth edition of this event, comprising a total of 13 District and other troupes from various parts of town.

The parade route is as follows: Dr. Jose Tapia Sanz, Antonete Galvez, Walk of Fame, Luis Fontes Pagán, José Pérez Miralles, Pastor Pedro Martinez Conesa ending at the Walk of Fame.
