Mayor attends the presentation of the 4th International Magic Festival sponsored by the Foundation for Development Gmp, to be held on 1 and 2 March.
The money collected will go Astrapace, which will launch a project adapted and hydrotherapy pools for 62 people with cerebral palsy.
The first weekend of March will be held the international edition of the Festival of Magic Solidarity Murcia, which this time reaches its fourth edition.
Promoted by Gmp Foundation, and as happened last year, the site chosen is the Teatro Circo, where magic and humor will again in the service of social responsibility and collective Murcia needy.
The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, participated this morning in the presentation ceremony, which was also attended by councilors of Health and Social Welfare and Culture, María del Carmen Gómez and Rafael Pelegrin, respectively, the director of the Foundation Gmp Francisco Fernandez, the festival's artistic director, Javier Martín, and the president of Astrapace, Rosa Garcia Iniesta.
The Solidarity International Magic Festival will take place on 1 and 2 March and proceeds will go entirely to Astrapace, to develop a draft adapted swimming and hydrotherapy for 62 people with cerebral palsy.
This program will combine the necessary rehabilitative activity with playful moments that can promote positive emotional attitudes.
In its three previous editions, in 2010 and 2011 was held at the School of Drama and the past year in TCM-4,500 spectators gathered and obtained a total collection of 87,980 euros.
On those occasions, the beneficiary institutions were ASSIDO and inclusive leisure project for 158 people with intellectual disabilities, Nuevo Horizonte, for inclusive leisure project for people with intellectual disabilities, and FEAPS, to launch a program of "support independent living for people with intellectual disabilities ", offering guidance and support to 28 people with intellectual disabilities living independently, alone or in pairs, or with elderly relatives.
With this initiative Gmp Foundation advances its goal of improving the quality of people with Down syndrome, acquired brain injury and other disabilities to achieve their full intellectual family, school, work and social.
The international edition
This IV Festival "Grand Illusions" will feature the best artists of magic, illusionism and other related arts and clowning and humor.
The celebration will consist of 3 galas and magic shows in the street:
- Magic Gala 1: Friday 1st March at 21.00 h.
Julius Frack, World Champion of Illusion presents: "GOLD MAGIC"
- Gala of Magic 2: Saturday 2 March at 12.00 h.
Children Gala "Grand Illusions".
- Session "Magic Hand": Sunday March 2 at 18 pm.
Miguel Gomez, Ascanio Prize 1987 and 1997, presents "Anthology of Spanish Cartomagia"
- Magic Gala 3: Saturday March 2 at 21.00.
Closing Gala "Grand Illusions".
- Street Magic: Friday 1 and Saturday 2 March in the Plaza de Sto.
Sunday.
This is the most international of those made so far, both by the presence of renowned artists such as collaboration with the Great World Circus.
This time involving the German Julius Frack, illusionism world champion in Beijing 2009, and Miguel Gomez, a global eminence card magic, plus Amelie, Duo Kybalion, Charlie Mag, Enric Magoo, Magus Javi, Javi Martin and Fair Thaus.
Collaboration with the Great World Circus will bring to the stage of the great clown Charlie TCM Carletto and one of the best jugglers in the world Marco Lorador.
As guest artists will perform the only artists who have won the competition twice Tele5 TV "You really worth", the duo Chords.
The Closing Ceremony on Saturday evening will be presented by the duo Gomaespuma.
