Councilman Jose Zapata defended a motion in Parliament yesterday to improve security in the area approved by the PP alternative that does not include the construction of sidewalks in some sections of the road necessary for the safety of pedestrians
The socialist mayor José Zapata is satisfied because thanks to the initiative yesterday defended in Parliament is to limit the speed and controls are to be established in South Ronda and other sections that support urban traffic flow and are shared by pedestrians.
Regrets, however, did not take into account one of the points of its motion that, in equal measure, sidewalks run to ensure the safety of pedestrians passing through this avenue.
Specifically, the socialist mayor requested that sidewalks be built on the stretch between the junction of James, and district progress and Glorieta de Ronda Sur and Avenida de Los Dolores, stretch that has been used with a high risk for many neighbors flowing through a path not enabled, does not meet the current conditions, other pedestrians even put their lives on the road circling.
So, Zapata insisted that the lack of sidewalks in these sections requires the 20,000 residents of the area who want to cross the train tracks to make it through the level crossing James.
"In the event that this level crossing be closed for work or for other reasons, pedestrians would not have a place to walk across the railroad tracks, and that steps are nearby St. Pius X or Path of The Garres, so should make a detour of about three miles. "
Therefore, the PSOE mayor reports that will make another initiative to plenary for the Municipal PP solution to this problem of insecurity of pedestrians in the southern part of town.
