Murcia City Council has drafted a new ordinance to regulate the bus transport service, as foreseen in the specification that has been in the competition for the award of this new service, which will come into force on 1 October As mandated by the Act on public sector contracts.
The new ordinance, mandatory for the implementation of the new bus service will start in October, aims to regulate the system management and operation of this service the urban lines of municipal ownership in the territory of called sector 1, and penalty system.
In its 6 chapters, deals with aspects such as tickets and the obligation of travelers to port, the rights and obligations of passengers, fares, public transport access to people with disabilities or reduced mobility, rights and obligations of the company dealership service, rights and powers of the City of Murcia and finally Offences and Penalties-established between penalties up to 300 euros for minor infringements and very serious infringements, up to 2,000 euros.
The new ordinance will be adopted before the entry into force of the new bus service in October.
