Yesterday fences were removed from the entrance, facing its implementation and to facilitate passage of the procession of Easter Monday.
This work has led to rehabilitate a school building from the early twentieth century, the architect Pedro Cerdan Martinez (1862-1947), neomudéjar eclectic style.
The culmination of this work is part of the rehabilitation projects of municipal assets driven by the mayor, Miguel Angel House, to provide the Murcia of a new meeting space and social activities.
The original building has been emptied completely, keeping the original façades and running a new concrete structure attached to them, preserving the initial volumes of the building.
The new street frontage Garcia Alix is designed with modern architectural design while upholding the original façade, mimicking the front with the rest of the building by using materials similar to those existing (mud brick and white concrete pieces) .
