"The City Council has done its homework before we ask for them" (28/03/2012)

Councillor for Finance, Isabel Martinez Conesa, explained that the adjustment plan that all municipalities must submit to the Government has not led to extraordinary measures of Murcia, because they are already being taken since entering the current government.

The full municipal council in March approved with the votes of all political groups and the non-UI, the adjustment plan 2012-2022 in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 4/2012, to enable the necessary conditions to allow the cancellation by the City Council of outstanding obligations to suppliers arising from the procurement of works, supplies or services that meet each and every one of the requirements of Article 2 of the said Royal Decree.

This is a plan that includes:

-Income: simulating an annual increase of 2%, as a conservative forecast for the period 2009-2011, growth has been 5%-costs: sets out the measures adopted to improve revenue management and cost reduction Service

Councillor for Finance, Isabel Martinez Conesa, explained that the municipal plan approved today is not a rebalancing plan because the city of Murcia "has done its homework before we ask for them", as the team government from taking office, and prompted some important measures for the rationalization of public spending in developing budgets for 2012 and have been a 9% savings in current expenditure, plus 4% in current transfers.
