The Mayor attends meetings of the Governing Board and the Regional Council of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces
Local Government was the one who last year cut its debt, on the other hand, is the less weight you have on GDP (3.3%), besides being the least deviated from the public deficit targets in 2011 (only 0.08%).
This was remembered Miguel Angel House, Mayor of Murcia and chairman of the Committee on Farms and Local Financing of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, this morning attended the meetings of the Governing Board and the Regional Board.
In both sessions, the councils have called for the need to maintain a 5% interest to finance the payment to suppliers, since a higher rate would serious difficulties the daily operation of many local entities benefiting from this mechanism.
The representatives of the Spanish municipalities have drawn attention to the fact that the amount of 17,000 million euros initially planned for loans subject to this extraordinary mechanism of payment to suppliers has barely reached 9,500 million real commercial debt of the municipalities .
