UPyD attends the charity event to raise funds organized by the Friends of the Saharawi people (21/03/2012)

Training and magenta want to do shows once again its full support and commitment in defense of liberties and civil rights in Western Sahara

The councilors of the Municipal Progress and Democracy Union in the city of Murcia, Ruben Serna and Jose Antonio Sotomayor, attend on Saturday 24 March at charity event in support of the Friends of the Saharawi people Murcia.

They have also confirmed their attendance regional coordinator of training, Rafael Sanchez, and organizing secretary, Alvaro Fernandez.

By attending the event, Progress and Democracy Union wants to make clear, once again its full support and commitment to the cause of the Saharawi people and denounce the situation of deprivation of liberty and civil rights suffered by the Western Sahara and the state of refugee camps in southwestern Algeria.

Similarly, UPyD also claims that the abandonment by the government is suffering the people of Western Sahara, which ignores the continuing human rights violations by military and police forces in Morocco.

Remember that the Friends of the Saharawi people is in operation for over twenty years, managing projects of cooperation and development aid, which includes areas such as health, language or feeding the inhabitants of the Sahara.

Self-financing activities to include collecting food, raffles, lottery sales, craft markets for sale in Western Sahara, organizing fun runs, concerts, lunches and dinners solidarity, as that will take place on Saturday 24th March.
