Local Police joins two translators for Anglophones can seamlessly access emergency services

The 092 service and speak English.

The Department of seguirdad been incorporated into two translators to Anglophones that have no problem communicating with the service.

The project has been underway since last February, as it has wanted for a period as a pilot, thus allowing fluid communication between people who do not speak Castilian, whether residents or visitors in Murcia.

So far as three calls have been met.

At first they have joined the staff of operators two translators of English, in addition to serving on the Chamber, will have a mobile phone to be located 24 hours a day if necessary.

The districts where registered to vote as many English are Gaia and Truyols (582), Sucina (350) and Jerome and Avileses (250).

Also this service will facilitate communication between local police and tourists who visit Murcia.

In 2011, the largest number of foreign visitors were made in England, reaching the figure of 5,302 over the year

By way of balance, last year the Board received 092 of a total of 135,264 calls.

Of this overall total, 63,574 were related to safety, followed by calls caused by reasons of traffic (35 169) and calls for information (8116).

Of the remainder, 6,768 were for medical emergencies, 5,411 by 2,705 fire and rescue and ill-treatment.
