Murcia City Council continues to work on social inclusion for young people most disadvantaged (11/03/2012)

The project will take place in the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit Espinardo

In order to provide adolescents with access to and ownership of content social and cultural value, allowing its use and development, the Governing Board of the City of Murcia has recently given the green light to serve the project "AMONG YOUNG" project launched by the Municipal Services Center North Murcia.

The project will last for ten months per year, growing from January to June and September to December, in areas north of Murcia performance, specifically in the hamlet of Espinardo.

The objectives proposed for the areas are:

-Improve the chances of the young social bond, referring to the role of language and social ties.

-Identify the position of the young against the social demand and bring it new positions that allow access to secured wider social circuit.

-To develop in the young, expressive concerns and critical analysis to the culture of our time, keeping an open mind and assimilation.

-To provide the youth of the skills, abilities and skills that arise from manual activity, technical and information according to their needs and interests.

-Promote the integration of youth through the game and enjoying them as real sport for the physical, psychological and social.

The specific objectives will be developed individually and according to the general objective of the area of ​​work, according to the initial assessment of the subject that is in terms of their interests and expectations.

The objectives are specific and define the path you have to make the young to the general objective of one or more areas.

The activities are scheduled monthly and are organized by content areas, resulting in a varied selection at which young people access to your interests.

Activities are differentiated into five sections:

-Artistic activities.

-Manipulative activities and new technologies.

-Cultural activities

-Sports and Games

-Activities related to the environment.

The project targets 70 young people aged between 12 and 18 years of age Espinardo, mostly belonging to the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit, and that have a high rate of absenteeism and / or ESL, special needs education support, motivated for irregular school history, curriculum gap and in some cases, unsuited to school context.

Participants in this project will access this service, derivation of the Municipal Social Education.
