Michelangelo Chamber recalled that the City Council of Murcia is working on the Plan of Equal Opportunities for the realization of equality of women in all areas.

Also, the mayor thanked the charitable work done by the directives of the 75 Centers for Women, women's associations, housewives, federations and associations of widows, separated women, of handicrafts, popular culture and immigrant women , of which 12,000 women are part of all ages.

"Their hard work evidenced by high levels of welfare achieved in this municipality and the promotion of equal opportunities, every day, carried out in coordination with the Department of Equality Policy through numerous activities, which benefits all citizens. "

During 2012 more than 1,500 women, members of Centers for Women and women's associations will benefit from the 24 different training courses offered by the City Council free.

The CEPS Neighbourhood Team School Progress has been awarded the 'Equality in Sport'.

This school has a 41% of girls in total enrollment in the program center of the School Sports Department of Sports of the Municipality of Murcia.

This award aims to recognize schools and teachers who have encouraged greater participation of girls in sports activities and equipment, in order to further enhance women's sports in school.

The company Base, Software Company SAL has received the award 'Equality in Work', for incorporation into the organization of the company measures favoring equal opportunities between men and women.
