The Centers for Women in the municipality of Murcia have organized an exhibition of paintings to raise awareness of cultural activities and awareness that develop in these spaces.
The exhibition coincides with the activities planned to mark the celebration of International Women's Day on 8 March.
The Aldermen of Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, and Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, today inaugurated the exhibition at the Exhibition Hall of the Municipal Center of El Carmen.
Will be open until March 15, Monday to Friday from 10am to 13.30 and from 17 to 20 hours.
The sample comprising 86 works of authors who are members of the 75 Centers for Women of the municipality and 20 other associations of women receiving counseling, technical and material support by the City of Murcia.
The activities planned to commemorate the International Women's Day will continue tomorrow with a screening of the tale 'The Princess would not eat partridges', at the Centro Cultural de La Raya, at 17.00, the workshop "Women in History' at the Museum of the City, at 17.00, and the awards ceremony of the First Short Story Contest March '8 'and the International Festival of Women's Poetry Cries, at 18 pm in the Auditorium Building City Hall Annex.
