The Bacons Bridge Community Center hosts the activity of some 37 different groups (27/02/2012)

A group of councilors of the government team today visited the parish to learn about the concerns and needs of residents

Approaching the city and meeting spaces on site is the residents' needs is the priority objective of the visits being made council members of the Governing Body of the City of Murcia.

This is an initiative that will take place in other areas of the municipality to continue to maintain contact with neighbors and learn about their concerns, in order to continue improving Murcia.

Councillors Social Welfare, Education, Decentralization and Equality, María del Carmen Pelegrin, Lola Sanchez, Christopher Smith and Alicia Barquero, respectively, have come this morning to the village of Bacons Bridge, the second parish in the municipality with the largest population after El Palmar.

The first visit took place in the Social Center, a space that has been running since 1989 and hosting the activity of groups of the parish.

The center brings together a daily activity, and in their offices become meeting place for the vast majority of groups in the parish.

One might note in this connection that about 37 groups and associations are active in Bacons Bridge.

Adult education plays a very important place in the district, as about 800 people attend daily in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, classes taking place on the premises of the social center and IES Aljada.

Besides the social center, has also visited the Calle Mayor, which has the largest economy of the hamlet, the percadillo week will be held on Monday, and the rock huertana The Crilla and public schools.
