Councilman Green IU-Murcia Jose Ignacio Tornel today deplored the "low" tourism proposal offered by the city council in the International Tourism Fair, Fitur, which was recently held in Madrid.
To Tornel, the council has offered an image "poor" of Murcia which shows the "lack" of municipal officials in the tourism sector, who, in his view, only have "appropriate" the work of the regional government.
Has accused the government team that has not established a plan for tourism development, and to "limit" to launch initiatives in the media then "are not reflected in the forums to promote and disseminate appropriate."
"The policy of self-congratulation of the council is evident every time you attend a meeting where they measure your ability to plan the development of the city, and thereby damages the image of Murcia on the outside."
On the range of travel packages designed by the Department of Tourism, Tornel has opined that "to return to the 60 criteria and 70, reflected in the cinema of the time and designed for the tourist who seeks to discover an exotic country."
In his view, "it is not to limit the reality of the municipality to a reductionist view of the tourism industry, but to promote the cultural growth of the town itself to open it with interest to tourism and business."
"This requires action planning medium and long term from various municipal, very different from the immediate measures proposed by the council," he added.
