The University of Murcia opens a pointer crime lab in Spain (22/12/2011)

The University of Murcia today inaugurated the new building facilities Saavedra Fajardo, which will host the Degree in Criminology and laboratory studies, the first of its kind in a Spanish public university.

The study coordinator, David Lorenzo Morillas, said the laboratory has been equipped with the latest developments for private detectives practices and research in Documents, graphology, forensic photography, criminal anthropology, toxicology and Graphoscopy.

In fact, the professor added Morillas, Spain have not yet sold any of the materials purchased for the laboratory, including photographic equipment, lights, fountains cold, digital macrolupas, microscopes, UV rays, distance meters, scales, collecting material for traces, reagents, markers, refrigerators, cabinet fireproof ultrashort laser cannon and a fume cupboard.

The remodeled building Saavedra Fajardo, who represents an investment of 200,000 euros, will serve about 800 students and will host the Senior Hall of Murcia, School of Legal Practice, the Master of Private Detectives and an important part of Language Services.

The units were visited by a delegation headed by the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Infrastructure, Antonio Calvo-Flores, representing the president, José Antonio Cobacho, absent for a family occasion, the coordinator of the Merced campus, José Ramón Torres, and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Faustino Cava, who thanked the investment efforts made in the building on the rectory computer.
