Completion of the North and South Coast enters its final (23/08/2011)

The Governing Board directs Urbamusa writing two projects, which could go on hiring before the end of the year.

The missing sections account for almost 10 kilometers long and the budget amounts to 34 million euros.

The construction of both roads allow companies to hire and boost employment Murcia.

Almost 34 million is the budget to invest in order to complete the construction of the North Coast and South Coast, two high-capacity road that will definitely get traffic from the urban centers of the districts, thereby improving the quality of life of its inhabitants.

The Governing Board of the City Council has commissioned the drafting of Urbamusa for these infrastructure projects roads, so that at the end of the year both could go to public tender, under the financing agreement with the Autonomous Community.

In particular, the North Coast detract 9 sections with a total length of 7604 meters and a budget of 26.5 million euros, while there are 3 branches pending in the South Coast at a cost of 7.3 million euros and a length of 2,270 meters.

Regarding the latter, projects affecting the road connection between El Palmar and La Alberca and between El Palmar and San Ginés, in addition to the overpass over the motorway A 30.

The structural axis of the South Coast as a whole will have a length of 12 kilometers, linking from El Palmar to Beniaján.

Since January 2010 is the stretch between the Auditorium of La Alberca and Santa Catalina Highway and last January opened to traffic the road between here and Algezares.

In the fall ready the project and convene bidding for Phase II, so that only pending the road from this hamlet to Beniaján.

The North Coast will have a total length of 12.06 kilometers.

The nine sections whose study Urbamusa are now preparing their Phase II and specifically:

- Restructuring road access between Glorieta UCAM-Villages and Coastal North Guadalupe

- A 30 motorway viaduct over

- University Park, Guadalupe Glorieta

- Access-roundabout access industrial zone developments, Santomera

- Splitting Crtra A 4-access highway A 7

Betting more and better roads

The nearly 34 euros in the budget that has been the completion of the North and South Coast are added to the 39.6 million already invested in the first phase of both vials and Alternative Sangonera La Verde, built and opened to traffic the previous legislature, funded under the agreement with the Autonomous Community.

The main arteries of municipally owned open to traffic since 2007 are in addition to these three roads, avenues of Beniaján, Kingdom of Murcia, Prince of Asturias and Aranjuez.
