Councilman IU-Greens in Murcia José Ignacio Tornel said today that the lack of institutional support for the Lemon Pop Festival "notes that the council's cultural policy is based on mass entertainment, 'vulgar' and crowded."
To Tornel, the session devoted a "poor and very little attention" to the promotion of long-standing cultural festivals, which, in his opinion, has caused them "go at least every year."
He has criticized the cultural policy of the government team on the grounds that "creates an imbalance between them and other activities," as the Lemon Pop has a budget of 25,000 euros, compared to three million of SOS 4.8.
"Lack of institutional support for festivals is in contradiction with the idea advocated by the council, which defines as a cultural reference Murcia and booming," he concluded Tornel.
