The Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta, presented on Monday (at 11:00 pm in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, Paseo Alfonso X El Sabio, Murcia) the second edition of the Solar Race and Murcia latest developments are included in this competition.
During the ceremony, six vehicles powered by renewable energies will demonstrate in a circuit for that purpose or on Paseo Alfonso X the Wise of the capital.
This competition has inspired since its inception in 2009, the construction of eight prototypes powered by alternative energy in the region.
The head of the Ministry explained that "this development is due to the link since its inception has been the Solar Race with universities and schools."
This synergy has enabled the development of an emerging group of researchers from Murcia, who focus their innovation in developing efficient vehicles and environmentally friendly.
The walk Alfonso X El Sabio will be cut off on Monday from 8:00 until 12:00 hours, as from 11:00 am to become the scene of the street circuit race for efficiency.
The six prototypes made five laps Murcia manufacturing this circuit.
This is the only event of its kind in Spain, so that each year more teams wishing to participate.
Pre-registration will remain open until the end of the month.
