Traffic advantage of the summer to repaint 335 kilometers of streets in neighborhoods and districts (02/08/2011)

It is a consequence of the concern of the Department that directs Javier Iniesta to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles.

The City Council allocates a budget of 413,000 euros to this campaign, which runs until October and a month before districts in the city.

In total 335,000 meters will paint linear, a similar distance which separates the cities of Jaen Murcia, Teruel Ciudad Real, to name a few.

It is planned to renovate 115,000 square meters of symbols, especially crosswalks and arrows.

In total, A budget of 413,000 euros.

30 streets, 12 districts and all villages

The work in the city have begun this week and likely will last until mid September.

The 30 streets that are renewed Avda Mariano Rojas, Avda Los Pinos, Ibn cArabi, Juan de la Cierva, Plaza de Castilla, Ronda Norte, Primo de Rivera, Floridablanca, Columbus, Canalejas Princess, Avda La Fama, General Yagüe, Ceballos, Ronda de Levante, Alicante Road, Plano de San Francisco, San Nicolas, Lieutenant Flomesta, Paseo de Garay, May Day, Constitution Avenue, Gran Via, Ronda Sur, Avenida Miguel Indurain, Avda Kingdom Murcia, Carretera de El Palmar, Culvert Road, Torre de Romo y Saavedra Fajardo.

Along these routes, we will proceed to recoat in most neighborhoods Vistabella, El Carmen, La Paz, Fame, Watchtowers, Fleet, Vistalegre, Santa Maria de Gracia, El Ranero, San Antonio, St. Basil and St. John.

Also, the campaign will be extended to all villages, with El Palmar, Bacons Bridge, Head of Torres and La Alberca Espinardo where more surface is renewed.

In this case, the action began in July and will not end until October.

Apart from road signs, this August will be used also to repaint the streets of the ORA in 32 streets.

Specifically, Olof Palme, Ceuta, Communards, Auditorium, Moncayo, Bowling, Ronda de Levante, John XXIII, Torre de la Marquesa, Marqués de los Vélez, Plaza de Camacho Quesada Sanz, Mariano Montesinos, Plaza Sierra Nevada, Navarra, Rector Loustau, Dr. Tapia Sanz, Marqués de los Vélez, Actor Francisco Rabal, Olma, Burruezo Alley, Jerome de Roda, Ronda de Garay, Simon Garcia, Bishop Frutos, Alfonso X El Sabio, James I, Gutierrez Mellado, Puigcerver López, Nicolás Ortega Pagan and Lepanto.
