On Tuesday 12 April at 17.30 pm in the Church Museum of San Juan de Dios, Murcia University Introduces New Early Music Ensemble with the Renaissance Music Workshop of the University Choir, led by Jorge Losada.
Both groups offered a concert with the Chamber Orchestra of University of Murcia in the International Festival of Youth Orchestras.
The repertoire is secular works from the XVI and XVII: English madrigals, French chansons, carols villanella Spanish and Italian, which can be heard sung by the young voices of the University Choir and period instruments Early Music Ensemble and the voices of the singers Julia García, Eduardo Perez and Andrea Javaloyes, who will perform songs for voice and lute by the English composer John Dowland.
For this event have been carefully historicist criteria in the musical interpretation of the works also involved the collaboration of several professors from the Department of English, for the correct pronunciation of English and French, taking into account the evolution of language and treated at the time.
