The amphora is joining other hundreds of all European countries.
The event is part of a project called EURORANDO 2011, which involved walking associations from 29 countries.
Over 5 million walkers support this initiative to preserve the environment.
The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has participated this morning, along with members of the Association of Naturarrixaca Hiking in the closing ceremony of the tour EURORANDO 2011, a project launched by the ERA (European Ramblers Association), European encompasses about 5 million European walkers.
Each year, the ERA organizes conferences where they discuss common problems of walkers every 3 years working on a joint project called EURORANDO.
This year the project is about water.
Water as a symbol of unity among all people and that has to be a way for all who love nature to be united and show solidarity in a common project and to preserve and request that this way of life that water is not lacking any people and to preserve their purity away from pollution and rivalries between nations.
Mayor House, for this reason, collected in a water vessel Contraparada that, along with others gathered in Europe, will be deposited in the famous Patio de los Leones in the Alhambra at a ceremony during next month October.
The ceremony was also attended by the Councillor for the Environment, Adela Martinez-cache.
The hikers began their march from the door of the City of Murcia, at 9 am, and have traveled a distance of 12 kilometers, by the side of the river Segura, to Contraparada in Javalí Viejo.
ERA was founded in 1969, is based in Germany and currently brings together 27 European countries and includes more than 5,000,000 members.
