The Mayor has raised in Parliament a motion to appoint Son of the City of Murcia to the Regional Official Chronicler, Antonio Pérez Crespo and has been approved by all political groups.

The City Council has granted also the title of Adopted Son of the City of Murcia Orihuela poet Miguel Hernández.
