Employment organize new courses to train as ham cutters were held on 19 and 20 November in the Local Development Agency (12/11/2010)

The Department of Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, who heads Beatriz Hontoria, has organized two new editions of the ham cutters, with the collaboration of El Pozo, conducted by Maestro Alfonso Ortiz Robles.

More than 150 students have already been formed as ham cutters with this initiative.

This introductory course will be held on 19 and 20 November in the Local Development Agency of the City of Murcia (C / María Zambrano s / n) at 17.00 hours to 20.30 hours Friday and Saturday, from 9 to 14 hours.

In addition, a further edition of the course on 17 and 18 December.

Twelve students will participate in this workshop to learn the culture of ham, pork theory classes, white hams, Iberian hams classes, designations of origin, how to choose a good ham, tools for cutting, cleaning of ham, sliced ham, different parts of ham, piece placement, ways of consuming the ham, what to do when we have several hams and we do not want to spoil us and ham Spanish companies exporting to China.

In addition, students will cut a ham, in the practical phase of the course and receive a dossier with the theory, a ham Book The Well of 8 kg that is sliced and vacuum packed so they can eat at home, a jamonera a carving knife, a sharpener, an apron, lunch and certificate of attendance.
