The Socialist Party claims that residents of districts will again be harmed by the new bus fares provided by the City Council (31/07/2010)

The Secretary of Transportation of the Municipal Executive Socialist Rafael Richart, claims that from 1 September, all residents of districts that use the public bus will pay € 0.35 more than anything Murcia moving around the city since the unification fare provided by the City Council has made to rise.

"So far the districts fare ranged from 1.10 to 1.45 euros and the new tariff system has been rounded so that it is clearly damaging to users who live in the districts of Murcia while for commuting the city the price is kept at a euro, "said Richart.

This injustice, explains the head of Mobility of the Municipal Executive, means that "the same journey of two miles to the city of a neighbor from any hamlet, is more expensive than the same tour of the city by the mere fact of living further. "

Also, Rafael Richart says that inequalities are repeated with the future implementation of 10-10 euros Bono ten routes that will allow urban and free transfers within an hour but has been excluded from the users of villages.

Rafael Richart this situation confirms that "once again hurting the citizens of districts, since the lack of services are punished with a higher cost in mobility."

Given this policy of constant inequalities between the center of Murcia and its parishes, the Secretary of Transportation said that since the Municipal Group Socialist has repeatedly proposed the establishment of a single ticket for public transport throughout the municipality at the price of one euro to end this social and economic discrimination.

In addition, the Socialists warned that the restructuring proposed by the City Council are still some of the problems so far difficult to generalize and the massive use of public transport.

In this sense, Richart said that "lines have announced unifications journey which partly overlap, but not announced major improvements to the frequencies, especially from districts to the city and vice versa, which is troubling to many of citizens who even think that in some cases can often worsen by removing some of the lines.
