The PSOE requires the local government to give continuity to the training activities of the Urban project in Espinardo (25/04/2018)

The Municipal Group denounces that the dance program for schoolchildren and adolescents has stopped being taught in the neighborhood of Espiritu Santo, something that mothers and fathers of 40 children between 3 and 12 years old who attended classes and some complain about of which were derived to the Dance Conservatory

The Municipal Socialist Group demands the government team of the Municipality of Murcia led by Mayor José Ballesta to give continuity to the activities of the Urban project in the district of Espinardo, which was designed to revitalize the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit and is leaving to fulfill its purpose.

This is what the PSOE spokesperson, Susana Hernández, will be taking to the Plenary on Thursday, aware of the needs of those who live in this part of the municipality, especially minors.

The Urban plan, which was approved by the General Directorate of Community Funds of the Ministry of Economy and Finance within the framework of the Urban Initiative, arose when analyzing the demands of the neighborhood associations to undertake an integral action that would solve the growing problems of the zone, whose degradation has been increasing notably in recent years.

Among the many measures contemplated by the project include the implementation of artistic training programs for school children and adolescents, with special interest in dance, which was developing every afternoon, between four and eight, at the Salzillo School of Espinardo, but that stopped giving the last day April 5.

This cancellation has provoked the complaints of the mothers and fathers of those who took part in these classes and who recognize that the suspension of the activity supposes "a clear demotivation for young people who are closed a door and are invited to be in the street, with what you see out there. "

The discontent is such that posters have been made to paste on the street and in the shops of the neighborhood in order to recover those classes and so they have communicated it today to Susana Hernández, who has had a meeting with a group of these mothers, who have come to the event dressed in black as a sign of mourning for an activity "in the ICU".

The meeting, which was held at the Salzillo school, was also attended by the mayor of the town, Andrés Guerrero.

Some of the young people affected by this cut were derived through the Urban plan for their value and effort to the Conservatory of Dance and now have the uncertainty of knowing if they can continue with these activities for economic reasons.

Given this situation, the PSOE will urge the government team of the City Council to urgently seek the formula to give continuity to the activities of the aforementioned plan in order to cover training and personal development and their professional future. these minors of Espinardo.
