Researchers from the UMU and the EAPN-RM present the first results of a research project on living conditions in the Region of Murcia (14/02/2018)

The project 'Living conditions and social welfare of the population at risk of poverty and social exclusion in the Region of Murcia.

An application of methodological design to the municipality of Murcia ', has the objective of providing a detailed diagnosis of the population profiles and the different situations in which people at risk of poverty and exclusion are found in the 45 municipalities that make up the region, information that they consider key in the context of the design of social policy in its broadest sense.

Next Thursday, February 15, at 12:00 a.m., in the Law Room of the Faculty of Law, the press conference will be held to present the first results of the research project promoted by the EAPN-RM, the Red de Lucha against Poverty and Social Exclusion in the Region of Murcia, and carried out by researchers from the University of Murcia (UMU).

The press conference will be attended by Verónica López, Managing Director of IMAS;

Mirian Pérez, General Director of Family and Social Policies of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia;

María del Carmen López Aniorte, Vice Chancellor for Social Responsibility, Transparency and Equality at the University of Murcia;

Diego Cruzado, President of EAPN-RM and Antonio Losa, Doctor in Economics from the University of Murcia and principal investigator of the research project.

Prior to holding this call, a technical conference was held to disseminate results before the different public bodies and social entities.

In addition, emphasis was placed on the methodology used, which combines quantitative methods and techniques, through the survey, and qualitative techniques, such as the focus group and the semi-structured in-depth interview.

This research has been funded by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities through the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS).

All those who want to follow the press conference on social networks can interact with the hashtag #CondicionesVidaMurcia.
