Citizens asks José Ballesta to mediate with the regional government to solve the airport expropriates (13/02/2018)

The orange training qualifies as incomprehensible that to date the payment of the compensation fixed by the Expropriation Jury in 2013 and confirmed by the courts has not been satisfied.

The spokesman for Citizens in the City of Murcia, Mario Gomez, calls for the collaboration of José Ballesta to mediate with the regional government and provide a solution to the payment of compensation corresponding to those affected by the expropriations of Corvera airport.

For Gomez, "the responsibility of the Mayor in that matter is capital, as the majority of affected residents of the municipality and correspond to his party to face the payments to be declared as infrastructure of regional interest."

From the orange training qualify as "incomprehensible" that, to date, the payment of these awards set by the Expropriation Jury in 2013 and confirmed by the courts has not been satisfied.

This Jury established a fair value of 6.81 euros / m2 for a total of 306 hectares subject to expropriation, affecting the aforementioned airport infrastructure to more than a hundred landowners.

"At this point," they recalled, "the regional government has not resolved a situation that is causing serious damage to the owners who, on the one hand, have been deprived of their properties since 2008, with agriculture as their livelihood. ;

and on the other, they continue to live in great uncertainty due to the non-payment of the amounts set by judicial decision. "

For its part, the regional deputy of Citizens Luis Fernandez has registered an interpellation addressed to the Governing Council to explain the reasons why it has not proceeded to pay the fair value to those affected by the expropriations of the project Basic Project New Airport the Region of Murcia.

In this sense, Fernandez has highlighted that "the expropriations were carried out by the emergency procedure, which meant that only 20% of the fair price was paid.

Therefore, the remaining 80% is still to be paid, as well as the increase that was subsequently ruled by the Provincial Expropriation Jury, an increase that is substantial.

"We hope that this situation is resolved as soon as possible because it is not acceptable that the owners of the land continue to receive the compensation that is legally theirs;

for that reason it is absolutely essential that the regional government confront its responsibility with those affected before the airport is put into operation, "they concluded.
