The Department of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta presents a varied offer of guided tours, workshops in nature and environmental volunteer activities for all audiences.
The president of the association ABAMUR, María Cantos Villar, with whom a special activity is carried out in La Contraparada, has participated in the presentation together with Navarro Corchón.
The councilor for Urban Planning, Environment and Garden, Antonio Navarro Corchón, along with the Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz Caballero, and the president of the association ABAMUR, Maria Cantos Villar, have presented the new program of environmental activities to enjoy the nature of the municipality from January to May 2018.
The objective of these activities is to promote training, awareness and environmental awareness of the population of the municipality aimed at the general public.
The new proposal is composed of 3 seminars and workshops of nature, 12 itineraries and guided environmental routes, and 6 activities of the municipal environmental volunteer program that will be developed in different natural areas of the municipality.
As in the previous period, volunteer activities and guided itineraries will take place on Saturdays and workshops and seminars in nature will take place on Sundays.
La Huerta de Murcia and the Segura River once again have a leading role in this offer, since they are some of the spaces in which activities will be carried out such as maintenance of an ecological garden or volunteer days to learn about the birds and the vegetation of the river Safe.
In this edition the environmental volunteer program will count on the collaboration of different associations of the municipality such as ANSE and ABAMUR.
La Contraparada and El Majal Blanco, protagonists of the activities
La Contraparada will be another of the spaces where activities will be carried out within this new programming.
In this environment there will be a family treasure hunt and a special activity with ABAMUR, an association of parents and relatives of children with autism spectrum disorder.
The Majal Blanco Municipal Forest Park will host different activities such as guided environmental routes, volunteer days for the maintenance of its biodiversity and a family activity to learn about its environmental values.
Through this program it is also proposed to visit other natural areas of the municipality of great environmental and patrimonial relevance through routes such as the flowering of the almond tree in La Murta or the ascent to Cabezo del Puerto.
As a novelty, an itinerary is included to know the trenches of El Valle and an itinerary-environmental gimkana in the Palm Grove of Santiago and Zaraiche.
