The councilman of Cambiemos Murcia Nacho Tornel today urged the head of Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Francisco Pacheco, to comply with the motion approved at the Plenary last October and convene a meeting between the political formations represented at the City Council and the different musical associations, in order to help alleviate the difficulties that prevent these the proper development of their activity.
Tornel explained that the purpose of the motion, approved with the backing of all political groups except the PP, which abstained despite the fact that their contributions were collected in the text, is to put an end to the problems facing the political gangs. music for lack of funding, institutional support and administrative resources, endowing them with a legal framework by the City Council, in which they continue to work autonomously.
"It is not a question of starting from scratch or of creating a parallel school, but of supporting and favoring the consolidation of musical associations through municipal resources", the mayor of the municipal training has maintained, after reminding Pacheco that, contrary to what that he commented in the aforementioned Plenary, "we have not found any reticence to this proposal on the part of the musical groups, quite the opposite".
In his opinion, it is an idea that goes "beyond" the specific fact of granting a subsidy to the bands and that seeks to create a true musical education project in the municipality.
"It is urgent that the Department of Culture convene this meeting and that the associations are protected by this City Council, thus ensuring its continuity with full guarantees and its contribution to culture in the municipality."
