The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, presented this morning, together with the director of the Museum of the Cathedral, Father Francisco Alegría, a new brochure that uncovers the secrets of the interior of the Cathedral.
"If a year ago we published a publication that allows to know all the details of the exterior facade of the emblematic building, now we focus on the interior while maintaining the same design," says the councilor.
This booklet, of which 5,000 copies will be published, includes the most important areas of the construction such as the back cover, the trascho, the choir, the high altar, the Puertas del Pozo or the chapels of the Transfiguration, of Junterón, del Cristo of the Miracle, of the Sacred Heart, of San Camilo de Lelis, of San Gregorio, of San José, of San Ignacio de Loyola, of San Juan Nepomuceno, of San Dionisio, of the Vélez, of San Antonio, of the Incarnation, of the Socorro or Bishop Comontes, among others.
It also shows a detailed plan of the entire plant, twelve images and a timeline with the main milestones of its construction.
What is intended with this publication, is to guide the tourist in a didactic and structured way, through the different chapels, establishing a tour of the interior of the Cathedral.
The brochure, which will take next week to the International Tourism Fair, can be picked up at the Tourism Office starting today.
