The vowels of Cambiemos Murcia of Puente Tocinos, Adrián Pérez, and Casillas, Irene Pérez, have been congratulated that the Observatory of the Bicycle has accepted the request of Cambiemos Murcia to start a friendly way between both districts, as a first step To meet the demands of neighborhood associations to build a bike path.
The proposal, which was approved in plenary sessions in April and June with all votes in favor in Casillas and with the abstention of the Popular Party in Puente Tocinos, aims to make mobility in this part of Murcia more secure and sustainable.
"In Casillas there is no institute so the young people who study compulsory secondary education have to travel to Puente Tocinos or Llano de Brujas in public transport, a possibility that the students of Vocational Training or Baccalaureate lack," explained Irene Pérez.
According to the vocalist of Puente Tocinos, his hamlet has many services that are not adjacent, but there is no street that connects with Casillas and is equipped with sidewalks.
Both speakers recall that the friendly route should be only a first step to promote sustainable mobility and finally build a network of bike lanes that serve to make travel safe.
