The Department of Traffic, Public Safety and Protection announces the construction of a new Civil Protection Center and the reform of the Infante Firefighter Lola Sánchez has presented the budgets in which items of € 350,000 are collected for new vehicles of Local Police and 450,000 € for three fire engines

The Department of Traffic, Security and Citizen Protection will have 53,446,994 euros budget for 2017 as announced by the responsible Lola Sánchez, maintaining the commitment to ensure the safety of all Murcia thanks to the work carried out by the services of Local Police, Firefighters And Civil Protection.

This is an increase of 2.20% over the accounts for the year 2016, highlighting the increase in the items allocated to Local Police and Traffic service.

More than sixty percent of this item is awarded for the services that the Local Police corps carries out in the performance of its functions.

In total about 35 million euros, of which more than one will go to new investments.

An investment of 100,000 euros is planned for the start of the works of a new barracks in the hamlet of Espinardo, responding to the Plan of Decentralization with which it improves the service of protection and assistance to the neighbors of the municipality.

To this will be added numerous improvements in infrastructures of Cuarteles de Pedanías.

This figure adds up to a further 150,000 euros for the maintenance of the 10 operational police units, improvements in the accessibility of the citizen to these places, as well as improvements in the barracks, especially in Infante Juan Manuel, where they are going to remodel the Dependencies to improve the care offered by the Office of Citizen Assistance.

Added to this is the enlargement of the 092 Room that will allow the installation of a security control system through video surveillance and emergency management through videowall, the projection on screens of risk situations to improve the coordination in the attendance .

In addition will be allocated 360,000 euros for the renovation of clothing, as well as for the acquisition for the 21 new agents entering the body, as well as for civilian agents of the Mobile Emergency and Social Care Service and the Protection and Care Team To families.

Lola Sánchez has also reported on the acquisition of 17 new police vehicles, continuing with the commitment to the renovation and adaptation of the mobile fleet of the Local Police.

A vehicle equipped for accident investigation, one for service of maintenance and signaling, 10 motorcycles to improve the service of road safety and five patrol cars to renew the current fleet.

For all this is going to invest 350,000 €.

Also noteworthy is the commitment that from the Department of Traffic, Security and Citizen Protection is made for the acquisition of material, machinery and computer systems.

Thus, 150,000 euros will be used for the centralized integration of security systems in barracks and the Children's Traffic Park, the acquisition of technical and specialized material in order to achieve greater efficiency in the development of the functions of protection and public safety .

Fire Extinguishing Service and Rescue

For its part, and in relation to the Fire and Rescue Service, Lola Sánchez has reported that in the current year will be allocated 160,000 euros to provide the new new fire stations of which € 70,000 for the purchase of clothing of (Trousers, polo shirts, belts, shoes and sports clothing), including running costs, as well as for the intervention clothing (jacket, pants, helmet and boots) included in investments.

In addition, it will undertake the acquisition of a light urban auto-pump vehicle whose budget is around € 380,000.

It is a vehicle of small dimensions, with capacity to transport 1500 liters of water, and that allows its intervention by the narrow streets of the urban surroundings of the city and districts.

To ensure the transport of material and people, it will proceed to purchase two other light vehicles for a total amount of approximately € 50,000.

In the 2017 financial year, the amount of investment in the investment chapter has also been included, in line with the forecasts for previous years, to complete the project for the reform of the Infante Fire Department.

This reform and adaptation of the ground floor of the main building of the park, whose overall project amounts to an economic amount of about 360,000 €, aims to modify and adapt both the changing rooms and toilets and showers annexed thereto, re-design and redistribute the New rooms for the warehouse, expand the room of breathing air, transfer the generator set to the outside of the premises, adapt the surrounding garden and replace the wall and perimeter fencing.

Traffic

Also Lola Sánchez has reported the investment of 1.5 million euros for the maintenance, conservation, repair and operation of the regulation, control and traffic information facilities of the City of Murcia.

On the other hand, with the charge of this same item, but with financing through the generation of credit for Revenues, it is planned to carry out the project of semaphore installations for traffic management in Murcia on the occasion of the railway underground.

Civil protection

This special plan has € 100,000 for actions to be carried out in 2017.

Included in the budgets is also the purchase of equipment, machinery and tools for the Volunteers of the operating groups in the districts of El Palmar, La Alberca, Torreagüera, Los Ramos and Alquerías for 38,000 euros, using 15,000 euros for the Acquisition of new transmission equipment.

Sanctions
