A new Single Office of Pedanías and Barrios will be in charge of facilitating the daily work of the municipal boards (14/07/2017)

It is part of the agreement reached by the municipal groups of PP and PSOE that also implies the approval of an Extraordinary Plan of Investments, endowed with 14 million euros.

A commission composed of all municipal groups, which will meet monthly, will be responsible for proposing the distribution of funds.

The City of Murcia will launch a new Single Office of Pedanías and Barrios that will be in charge of facilitating the daily work of municipal boards and the presidents of the same.

Its mission will be to assist in the management of administrative procedures between the different services and councils and representative bodies of the districts.

The creation of this new office is part of the agreement reached by the municipal groups of the Popular Party and the Socialist Party and submitted to the July plenary session, which also provides for the provision of 14 million euros of the remaining treasury for an Extraordinary Investment Plan Which will be implemented in districts, at the request of the municipal boards, by a joint commission formed by the municipal groups.

Likewise, 1.9 million euros of treasury stock will be allocated to increase investment items that are managed directly by the boards.

The commission, which will have a monthly frequency, will also assume the destination of the funds destined to neighborhoods and districts that do not appear in the extraordinary plan or expressly in the budgets of the councils.

In order to expedite the drafting of the projects to the maximum, the City Council will use the services of the municipal company Urbamusa.

The agreement that makes these measures possible is the result of the negotiation process that has allowed the unblocking of municipal budgets, 'putting the general interests of the municipality above the partisans'.

It is an agreement on the premise of an important economic improvement to equip our districts with greater infrastructures to improve their living conditions, moving a step further in the path of administrative decentralization and increasing budget allocations and management capacity by Part of the meetings, "notes the text of the proposal submitted to the Plenary.
