The huerta and the center of Murcia, the university aquarium, fish market of San Pedro del Pinatar, visits to the regional park Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro, excursions by the White Majal and around the Segura, descent by the canyon of Almadenes, As well as activities in the pool or with the stars as a guide, are some of the destinations and initiatives that can be developed by the participants in the "Summer Scientific Camp Nature, Culture and Sustainable Tourism", an activity that is part of the programming of The International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum, the summer courses of the UMU, which will be based on the Torre Guil CEMA, which will run from June 26 to 30
The initiative is aimed at students enrolled in a third or fourth year of ESO or Baccalaureate in institutes in the Region of Murcia, and aims to raise awareness of the environmental potential of the Region of Murcia to develop responsible and sustainable tourism, as well as revalue our environment , Traditional activities and local culture.
The camp will be held in the CEMA (Environment Center) of Torre Guil, CAM Foundation, with accommodation and support from Monday to Friday.
It is directed by María Luisa Suárez Alonso, Maria Rosario Vidal-Abarca Gutiérrez and María del Mar Sánchez Montoya.
