A photograph of Alejandro Molina announces the Pilgrimage of the Virgin of the Huerta Coronada procession in pilgrimage from his hermitage to the Church of St. Peter the Apostle next Sunday May 28, starting at 19.30.
The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture will install a triumphal arch at the entrance of Los Ramos that has been prepared by the students of the Workshop School and that, instead of being demountable as in previous years, will be a monument that will remain fixed in the Garden that is being built in the Chocolate Lane of Los Ramos.
In this triumphal arch, the attendants will launch the traditional hallelujahs and then to the Virgin giving way to the procession to the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, in which the Virgin will be accompanied by the children of First Communion, Queen of the Orchard of Murcia And Court of Honor, authorities and different standards of the cofradías of glory of Murcia and districts.
Both the image and the hermitage of the Virgin of the Crowned Huerta enjoy the affection and devotion of huertanos, who throughout the year pass through its Hermitage-Sanctuary attracted by the devotion to the Virgin of the Huerta, as well as by the beauty of the surroundings .
The image of the Virgin of the Huerta is the work of the sculptor Jose Hernandez, who carved it in 1972. In 1980 his hermitage was consecrated and in 2000 the Canonical Coronation of the Virgin was celebrated, with a multitudinal act attended by 5,000 people.
In 2010 the image traveled to Caravaca on the occasion of the Jubilee;
And in 2011 was invited by the Brotherhood of the Blood of Murcia, and participated in a procession from the church of San Bartolomé to the church of El Carmen.
The Romería of Bajada to its Hermitage of the Corner of Almodóvar, will be Saturday 3 of June.
On the eve of the Pilgrimage of Ascent, on Saturday, May 27, the Federation of Peñas Huertanas has organized the II Route in Car of the City to the Heart of the Huerta, which with the participation of more than 40 cars, will depart from the Glorieta Of Spain, at 10 o'clock, will cross the Barrio del Carmen, will pass through Los Dolores, and continue its way to Beniaján, concluding the tour in the Hermitage of the Virgin of the Huerta (Corner of Almodóvar) at 13,30 hours, Where the Queen of the Orchard will make an offering of flowers to the Virgin.
Then a meal of Brotherhood in the Garden of the Hermitage will be realized.
