Ballesta's objective is to make Murcia a four-axis attraction in Spain: cultural, urban, social and productive, as it corresponds to the seventh city of the country. The mayor presents the great challenges of the city that will mark Development a (14/05/2017)

The mayor considers it essential to collaborate with all political forces represented in the City Council to achieve this goal before the end of the legislature

The Mayor, José Ballesta, assured the members of Murcia Seniors Club-MSC at the working meeting held with representatives of civil society that their goal for the end of the legislature is to get a city that is a reference for the whole country as Pole of cultural, urban, social and productive attraction.

For the mayor, these four axes will mark the future development of the seventh city of Spain for the potential that has in the center of the Mediterranean arc.

José Guillén, Councilor for Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, and Antonio Navarro, Councilor for Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, were also present at the meeting with the twenty representatives of MSC.

The mayor of Murcia considered essential the collaboration of all political forces represented in the City Council to carry out this task that will generate wealth and welfare for the 450,000 inhabitants of the capital of Murcia and will be the key in urban development to twenty years view.

The president of Murcia Seniors Club, Ignacio Cerezuela, transferred the concern of the association to the lack of support from the opposition to municipal budgets that puts at risk investments of great interest for the continuity of urban development of the city.

In particular, Cerezuela was incredulous before the attitude of Citizens that puts under a pressure to the municipal government that does not happen in other great consistories of Spain.

The president of MSC also called on the first party of the opposition, the PSOE, to clarify their internal disputes that generate the paralysis of municipal budgets with serious consequences for the districts of Murcia that have at stake more than 14 million direct investment.

Murcia Seniors Club will join the Social Council of Murcia

The mayor congratulated the members of Murcia Seniors Club because they represent active and organized civil society, and provide the point of view of liberal professionals, entrepreneurs and company executives that are part of the organization.

At the request of the president, Ignacio Cerezuela, to increase the participation of MSC in the productive life of the city through the incorporation to the Social Council, Mayor Ballesta "picked up glove" and announced that soon they will become part of this advisory body .
