The City of Murcia adheres to the Protocol of Sociosanitaria Coordination in the attention to People with mental disorder or drug addictions (05/05/2017)

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning to the accession to the

Protocol of Sociosanitaria Coordination in the Attention to People with serious mental disorder and / or drug addictions promoted by the regional Government through the Councils of Family and Equality of Opportunities and of Health.

The aim of the text is to integrate the municipalities and organizations of the third sector in the attention to the people who suffer these problems, so that the actions that each of the actors involved in the process of their attention from the different areas are more Efficient, open and broad, putting people at the center of the action of all systems by the convergence of logic, language, dynamics and structures of each of them into a common goal.

Levels of coordination

The text approved by the Regional Commission for Sociosanitary Coordination and now joined by the City of Murcia establishes three different levels of coordination between health and social services:

- Basic level.

Its territorial scope of coordination corresponds to the Center of Mental Health of reference, being able to adjust when the circumstances require it to other territorial units of reference.

- Level of health area.

It corresponds to the territorial demarcation of each Health Area, integrating representatives of the sectors mentioned in the previous level with the appropriate level of representativeness and technical responsibility.

- Regional level.

It has to do with the Regional Sociosanitary Technical Committee on Mental Health.
