The Department of Modern, Contemporary and American History at the University of Murcia (UMU) has organized for 24 and 25 October the III International Seminar permanent nineteenth-century Spain, entitled occultism and Romanticism.
The cultural flowering experienced by the country during this century, in which a sensitivity calaría manifest itself in literature and other arts, will be one of the issues to be addressed in the presentations and debates.
The conference, to be held in the Conference Hall of Letters, also delve into the occult and spiritualism practices performing society ochocentista Spain and the legacy that has come from these through film and literature.
The meeting will be opened on Monday by the rector, José Orihuela;
the dean of the Faculty of Arts, Pascual Cantos, Department Director, Antonio Irigoyen, and the director of the seminar, Maria José Vilar.
