The UCAM, in its aim to contribute to the integration and social action, develops this line of research in the field of adaptation for people with disabilities in which, through the European project "Guardian Angels of Accessible Travelers in Rural Areas" develop together with other partners in Spain, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia and Poland, a program of adaptation of rural environments for people with disabilities.
"The objective of this project is to analyze the difficulties of access to these rural areas, which were subsequently resolved with measures to extinguish these barriers through training professionals in the different partner countries" noted the research group Planning and Research development for tourism competitiveness, Ginesa Vals Martinez, associate dean of the Degree in Tourism University.
As part of the celebration of World Tourism Day, which this year has the theme "Tourism for All", the UCAM, announced this initiative that will work the doctors Ginesa Martinez Del Vas and Maria Dolores Gil Quiles, assistant director of Grado and research related to this international project promoting equality and accessibility for people with disabilities.
The project will begin next October at the headquarters of educational training center SYNTEA SPOLKA AKCYJNA, project coordinator in Poland.
