The University of Murcia (UMU) has announced that it will take action against hazing that often occur at the start of course, considering that are contrary to the spirit university and degrading for the person.

Through a statement, the Vice President for Student and the General Secretariat of the university remember that these practices are prohibited, assuming the same "a serious disregard for the university community."

The statement uses the occasion to welcome students who are invited to enjoy the training offered by the UMU.
