The Virgin of the Fuensanta takes center stage in the Feria de Murcia.
The collaboration between the city, the Cathedral Chapter, the Court Ladies of Fuensanta and the Royal Brotherhood of the Knights of the Fuensanta has allowed the publication of a sign that all acts related to the Virgin that will be held are collected during the holidays and to be placed in shops, churches and districts centers.
In the poster an image of the Virgin of Fuensanta appears wearing the robe that gave Pilar de la Cierva, which was his waitress for many years and who died last March.
The program of events related to Fuensantica begin next Thursday, September 1, with the procession of descent of the Virgin, his official reception at 19.30 in the Church of Carmen, and his transfer to the Cathedral.
This year there are two new features: a lecture on the basics of the September descent of the Virgin in the Cathedral Museum will be revealed after the Mass;
and a round of farewell of the Virgin on Monday 12 September, at 22 pm in the Cathedral.
In addition, every afternoon, from 3 to 11 September, at 19 am, will be held at the Solemn Novena Cathedral.
On Sunday, 11, at 11.45, there will be a procession with the Virgin inside the cathedral to celebrate her feast.
On Tuesday 13 September, Murcia fired his patron with the traditional pilgrimage, which begins after the farewell Mass to be held, as usual, at 7 pm in the Cathedral.
