More than a thousand children from Bacons Bridge visit the exposure of lead figurines (12/04/2016)

The Municipal Board Bacons Bridge inaugurated this afternoon the exhibition "A journey through history with lead figures" in which through various dioramas the most significant features of ancient cultures are recreated and some of the conflicts of greater historical significance.

The exhibition is part of the private collection of Raul Perez and first visited the region.

It has been located in the Public School Infanta Cristina with the purpose of to be visited by the students of the Center, and the remaining schools Bacons Bridge.

In total it has more than three thousand lead figures and is expected to be visited by more than a thousand children who may gain knowledge of world history in an educational and fun.

Among the objectives of the organizers is also the knowledge of the serious repercussions of armed conflicts and the importance of its resolution through peaceful means.

Among the most interesting dioramas corresponding to the processes of mummification or construction of the pyramids in Egyptian culture, the expansion of the Roman Empire with representation of different armies, the Napoleonic wars and the great struggles of the First and Second World War are and the Spanish Civil War.

The event was attended by Rafael Gómez, Councillor for Education, University Relations and Heritage of the City of Murcia, as well as the management teams of the 7 Educational Centers available to the district, and representatives of the Associations of area.
