The Governing Board has given the green light to the project "Among Youth", which is part of the programming of the Center for Social Services "Murcia Norte", belonging to the Department of Social Rights who leads Conchita Ruiz.
The project, aimed at 60 young people between 12 and 18 and will last until July, is the realization of a group and individual work with adolescents and young people, mostly from the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit Espinardo.
The aim is to facilitate integration and social participation of adolescents at the community level, working in the school hours with schools in the permanence of young people, reducing absenteeism, neglect or school failure and accompanied by social and educational actions in the process education and employment of young people.
"This is to improve the possibilities of social ties between young people and develop them concerns, and facilitate the integration process of doing various activities culture, communication, sports, technology or science."
school support activities, workshops, training and labor resources and an excursion per month will also be, among others.
The activities are scheduled monthly and in assemblies for young people to participate and decide what interests them, always with the guidance of educators.
Educational services performed is directly and exclusively for the young.
Thus, the city of Murcia, fulfills its goal of developing projects for young people in neighborhoods and districts with high indicators of truancy.
