Twelve libraries from the city center and districts of Murcia will have Reading Club (26/02/2016)

The Governing Board has given the green light to the launch of the project Reading Clubs program of cultural activities and leisure (PAC) of the Municipal Library Network Murcia (RMBM), in which 17,303 euros will be invested for monitors and books.

Libraries will have book clubs are El Carmen (have two clubs), writer Jose Saramago, Rio Segura, San Basilio, Beniaján, Cabezo de Torres, Pelagio Ferrer of El Palmar, Javalí Nuevo, La Alberca, La Ă‘ora, Bacons Bridge and Sangonera la Verde.

Thanks to this contract, which depends on the Department of Education, University Relations and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gomez twelve municipal libraries counted in their programming with this activity seeks to promote reading and is one of the activities aimed at more successful adults.

The book club is to form a group of people who read a book at the same time and, monthly, on a predetermined date and time, meet to discuss the previously chosen title.

The goal is to share the fact reader with others, analyze books from other perspectives, discuss the literary style, action, characters, etc.

The great acceptance that have these clubs in libraries because they combine personal reading and the ability to share the experience with others.

The choice of securities arises from an agreement among readers, librarians and moderators and books will be purchased by the municipal libraries.

The event is free but places of book clubs are limited.
