The House approved the motion to audit the relations between the UCAM and the City (25/02/2016)

The House has approved today a joint motion Let's change and PSOE to create a commission to audit the relations between the UCAM and the City, ranging from from the transfer of land and actuacionesurbanísticas "transparent" to losconvenios for the use of sports facilities " advantageous conditions "or direct and indirect public subsidies for their activities.

According to Sergio Ramos, who has defended the motion by Let's change, the Consistory is giving priority in its actions to a private university such as the UCAM, to the detriment of the public.

The initiative was presented after a few days ago was published in the BORM the attempt of the Autonomous Community to legalize, through exceptional path, the works of some educational buildings that built the UCAM without the required building permits and land nonurbanizable of high environmental and scenic interest on the campus of Guadalupe.

In addition, the House has approved in its meeting today the motion signed by Margarita Guerrero, Councillor Let's change Murcia, for the creation of a health plan sex involving at least the Department of Youth, Health and Human Rights Groups municipal, youth associations, schools and AMPAS.

In his presentation, Guerrero has indicated that municipal information tools made available to young people through the InformaJoven are "upgradable" and called psychosexual counseling service providing it with sufficient resources be strengthened.

It has also been given the green light, with an amendment to the PP and the unanimous support of the political groups, the motion condemning the attacks and hate crimes in the city.

Guerrero expressed his satisfaction acknowledging that "this is a first step in a greater commitment to end this kind of intolerant attitudes."

However, the House has stretched the motion of Councilman Sergio Ramos to request the repeal of the law Rationalization and Sustainability of Local Administration, as both citizens and PP voted against, the latter with the pretext that the debate corresponds to Parliament.

Ramos explained that the law makes municipalities in "mere managers hire" and has asked the Corporation to reflect on the importance of eliminating the rule because he was born with the objective of removing powers to local entities in such basic services as social character.

Similarly, the initiative has been rejected by Nacho Tornel a proposal of the working group's change Mobility Murcia for the restitution of lines and frequencies suppressed in 2012 by the Autonomous Community under the Order on restructuring the service.

The mayor pointed out that the adjustments have led to serious damage to citizens, such as degradation of service and increased prices, especially for those residing in the districts (60 percent of the population), the most affected by Regional Government cuts.

The poor state of public transport in the city as a result of adjustments in the lines and frequency of the service, told by Tornel during his speech at the plenary session, was not enough for the PP, which has rejected the motion, or for Citizens, whose vote has been to abstain.
