The Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean will be held in Murcia (17/02/2016)

The Councillor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Perez and Head of Cultural Revitalization Program of the municipal service have met in Malaga with the Spanish Committee of the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean for the transfer of the presidency Spanish Committee to the City of Murcia for two years.

This stable and associative multidisciplinary initiative is aimed at young artists between 16 and 30 years of European countries and the Mediterranean basin.

The City of Murcia, through CreaMurcia of the Youth Council program provides the opportunity to participate in the biennial Murcia the most outstanding artists in different artistic disciplines.

In recent years the International Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean has become the most important window for young artists in various art forms: architecture, video, comics, fashion talk, performing arts, dance arts, music, gastronomy, literature, etc.

Spain is represented in the Association by eight cities: Malaga, Madrid, Murcia, Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, Alicante, Salamanca and Valencia, through the Department of Youth of the respective municipalities.

Other countries that are part of this dynamic project of culture and its relationship with the young are Italy, France, Portugal, Bosnia, Croatia, Greece, Finland and Slovenia, among others.

Mediterranean countries such as Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia and Egypt are also present.

In addition to address some issues such as approval of the minutes of the last meeting of the CNE in Málaga (July 2015) to take stock of the Spanish chairmanship of the Committee for the City of Malaga and evaluate the XVII Biennial 2015. Milan also it has completed the transfer of the Spanish Presidency of the Committee to the City of Murcia.
