The Mayor's House Opens in La Alberca the second sports hall in less than 4 years (16/06/2010)

The residents of La Alberca sports fans are the best witnesses of the improvement that the parish has experienced in the provision of municipal facilities in recent years.

Less than four years ago, in November 2006, the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, opened the first pavilion of La Alberca, this time a school built by the City Council workshop.

A few years earlier had entered service the outdoor sports complex consisting of tennis and sports center, and a football field, which has recently been fitted with artificial turf.

This network of public facilities will experience a major change with the opening of the new aquatic and athletic complex, which will be operational before the end of the month.

This morning, the shift has been for the new municipal sports pavilion Alquibla IES, whose inauguration was presided by Mayor House.

This is the flag number 33 existing neighborhoods and districts of Murcia, of which 26 have entered service under the leadership of Mayor House, which is a clear example of the investment and the impetus given to grassroots sport in recent years .

The infrastructure has been launched today at the service of the 721 school students to practice sport in a high quality flag.

The construction of the pavilion will not only improve the means for sports, has also broadened the school courtyard by removing the existing protective fence during construction.

In addition to meeting the needs of students, the pavilion will be used by the inhabitants of the parish and school sport outside school hours.

So the school community have the facilities to serve until the 17 hours from then until 20 hours will be reserved for the sports schools and thereafter may be rented by residents and groups in the parish.

The pavilion has required an investment of 775,000 euros, 235,000 euros of which were funded by the City, with 75,000 euros for improving access, and the remainder by the Higher Sports Council.

To meet maintenance costs of the Department of Sports facility has a planned budget of € 65,000 per year.

The pavilion has an area of 1,400 m2 and has an indoor sports hall, four dressing rooms, storage rooms and lobby.

Ready for the practice of indoor football, handball, basketball and volleyball.
